One of the objections raised by followers of the false Yamani claimant concerns the Heavenly Call on the 23rd night of Ramadan. They argue that since the Earth is divided into hemispheres, it is impossible for the call to be heard simultaneously across the globe. According to them, while one part of the world experiences night, the other is in daylight, making a global event implausible.

This argument, however, is based on a misunderstanding of Islamic narrations and the nature of religious timekeeping.

What Do Shia Narrations Say About the Heavenly Call?

Islamic narrations clearly state that the Heavenly Call will occur on the 23rd night of Ramadan, and that everyone will hear it in their own language. This call is described as a real, audible event, not a dream or symbolic metaphor. It is meant to awaken the hearts of truth-seekers and announce the imminent reappearance of Imam Mahdi (peace be upon him).

The narrations do not claim that the call will be heard at the same clock time worldwide. Instead, they emphasize its occurrence during the Hijazi night, referring to the time zone of the Hijaz region (Mecca and Medina).

Regional Time Zones and Religious Events

Just as Laylat al-Qadr or Ashura may fall on different Gregorian dates depending on location, the Heavenly Call on the 23rd night of Ramadan will occur based on the Hijaz timeline. This means:

• The event will happen at night in Hijaz
• People in other regions will hear it according to their own local time
• The prophecy remains valid and regionally anchored

This understanding aligns with how Islamic events are traditionally interpreted—based on sacred geography rather than global simultaneity.
